Chamomile, which opens this blend, is one of the oldest calming agents in European herbal tradition, dating back at least to ancient Egypt. Its gentle, slightly sweet note acts on the limbic system with a tenderness difficult to achieve with more pronounced ingredients. Chamomile slows, softens, and prepares the body for rest.

Lavender, the heart of this composition, is one of the few essential oils whose sleep-promoting effects have been confirmed in clinical studies. Combined with the chamomile base, it acts like a long-awaited exhale after an overly long day and leads to deep, uninterrupted regeneration.

Rosemary, seemingly an unexpected ingredient in a sleep blend, is present here with precise intent. Its role is to bring order, and order is exactly what a head full of unfinished thoughts, unwilling to quiet before sleep, needs. Chamomile
Chamomile was attributed soothing properties as early as ancient Egypt, where it was one of the few plants dedicated to the sun as a symbol of healing. Chamomile oil, obtained by steam distillation of the flowers, exhibits anxiolytic effects, reducing feelings of anxiety and emotional tension that so often steal sleep before we even close our eyes. Its note is soft, slightly sweet, and unhurried.
Lavender
Among all essential oils used for sleep, lavender has the most extensive scientific documentation. Clinical studies confirm its effect on lowering cortisol levels, slowing heart rate, and shortening the time it takes to fall asleep. In this composition, it forms the axis around which everything revolves: lasting, calm, present throughout the night.
Rosemary
Rosemary in a sleep blend might seem paradoxical, as its aromatherapy reputation is decidedly more stimulating than calming. However, present here in a small proportion, it fulfills a function that neither chamomile nor lavender can achieve alone: it quiets an overactive mind, that specific evening rush of thoughts about tomorrow's tasks, and allows the mind to release control without feeling that something important has been missed.

HOW TO USE

In a diffuser, a few drops are enough to transform the space into a more intimate and sensual one, especially in the evening when we seek to slow down and be mindfully present. Diluted in a carrier oil at a two to three percent ratio, it makes an excellent full-body massage oil, proving particularly effective when combined with slow, mindful touch, which is itself a form of presence practice. A few drops in a warm bath prepare the body and mind for intimacy with the same care with which a ritual prepares for a ceremony. The blend also accompanies meditations focused on working with heart and sacral energy, strengthening the connection between sensation and awareness.
